You will be able to learn the skills that players are using from the European Tour down to International Amateur competition.  Each element of our programmes is world class. Our Golf Coaching and Training Programme, High Performance and Psychology programmes and the Fitness programme are used by top class players to enhance their performance.

Recently, the programmes have expanded to include anyone with a true desire to reach their full potential.Regardless of your background, you will receive top class coaching. The Sports Academy is dedicated to prepare you for the challenges ahead in competitive tournament golf: the perfect grounding to be a world-beater.

The original programme provides golf coaching in tandem with a full education package. The Golf Coaching and Training Programme has been approved by the PGA and has received the support of the EGU and ELGA. Dr Kyle Phillpots, PGA Director of Training and Education stated, “This type of programme provides a beneficial addition to the development of golf in the UK, and gives youngsters the opportunity to maximize their potential in golf whilst offering appropriate academic study. The programme on offer at The Sports Academy is fit for purpose.”

Founded in 2003 The Sports Academy offers young men and women, regardless of their background, a balance between academics and golf. It allows students to grow and develop individually and a s part of a wider community. We emphasise individual attention – in and outside the classroom – which we believe ensures that each Sports Academy student receives the nurturing he or she needs to succeed. 

Our aim is to create a positive atmosphere so the students will be inspired to reach the goals that others only dream about. The learning process in most colleges/schools occurs only in the classroom, but at The Sports Academy it just begins there! The Academy Team has a genuine interest in the students and their success as the structure provides a great sense of belonging for student and Academy Team members alike.

The Sports Academy is dedicated to providing open access academic and golf programmes that meet the needs of students as they prepare themselves for tough competition, further education and life beyond.
