Golf Coaching
As a member of The Sports Academy you will receive the best coaching around both from a technical and physical perspective.
The Sports Academy have created a unique golf coaching programme which is continually monitored, so as to assess and assist its Academy Teaching Pros to ensure the very highest standards of individual tuition are being delivered. The Head of Player Development at the Mill Ride Academy is Stuart Morgan.
Stuart Morgan – Head Coach
Stuart Morgan has been a PGA member since 1998. He has been a full time development coach since 2001. In 2001 Stuart was asked to work for David Leadbetter, during this time Stuart was mentored by the father of modern coaching. During his time working for David he spend time working at his academies all over the world including US, Mexico, Spain, Austria and the UK.
Stuart’s experience has been gained by working with players on all major tours and viewing some of the best elite coaches in the world including Pete Cowan, Denis Pugh, Nick Bradley and the Harmon’s.
After leaving the Leadbetter organization Stuart became Director of Instruction at the Grove, this is where they held the 2006 WGC. It was at this venue where Stuart had the privilege of watching Tiger Woods at close range, experiencing how he prepares for Tournaments.

The Sports Academy is based at the highly rated golf
complex, Mill Ride Golf Club, Ascot. The course is fit for champions (and champions-in- the-waiting). Ingenious layouts and water features ensure you’ll use every club in the bag. The course measures 6,885 yards from the back tees. You are
greeted by a landscape of perfectly manicured and cross-cut fairways intermingled with lakes and the mounding and hollows which give this championship golf course a unique parkland design coupled with an inland links feel to the starting and closing holes.

Places on the programme are restricted to allow the Sports Academy the opportunity to provide the personalised learning needed to succeed and for individuals to achieve their full potential. By choosing The Sports Academy at Mill Ride Golf
Club you will be in the unique position of being treated as a professional sports person dedicating yourself to the sport you love while completing high level qualifications with outstanding tutorage and support throughout. Golfers on the full-time programme will study a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences.
The areas that will be studied will all be delivered to help the learner appreciate how specific things contribute to sporting performance, taking every opportunity to make direct correlations to the learners golfing performance.
For golfers wanting to study specific A-Level’s a individualised programme will be tailored to accommodate your education and golfing needs.

January Winter Taining Camp – Alhaurin Golf resort, Malaga, Spain
The Sports Academy scholars at Mill Ride Golf Club will all head to the magnificent Alhaurin Golf resort, Malaga in Spain during the month of January. Players will escape the inclement British weather allowing uninterrupted practise in an ideal climate.
The Sports Academy programme will continue to provide the best coaching and outstanding delivery of the education component all within the Alhaurin Golf resort throughout the month of January before returning to Mill Ride Golf Club in February.
