Winter programmeAnyone applying for The Sports Academy Winter Training Programme will not be getting a nice holiday in the sun! This prgoramme is designed to maximise practise opportunities during the colder months in the UK. As such, the clients will be working hard; learning new skills and developing an excellent ethos with regard to game development and practising. The Programme offers 9 hours of guided learning each week, usually in small groups, but with specific attention on individual development. The aims of the Golf Coaching programme are to enable each client to: · Understand and excel at golf’s basic fundamentals · Develop a swing that is consistent under pressure · Envision and execute the art of shot making · Master the short game · Develop and perform course management skills · Manage the body and mind to support the game · Learn course management and game planning
The golf programme is structured so every student receives specific instruction tailored to his or her development needs, which are monitored weekly through self-assessment and by the Teaching Pro. In addition to the golf coaching, The Sports Academy provides the two other main ingredients that are critical for consistent tournament golf, namely golf specific fitness and psychology. Each student will be able to increase his or her core strength through our fitness-training programme, whilst our golf psychologist prepares the individual for tournament golf via motivation, imagery, effective practice and confidence. The full programme will therefore include the following: · 9 hours of guided coaching every week · Individual sessions with golf coach every week · Individual sessions with mental coach every month · Golf specific exercise programme · Full statistical analysis of performance · Weekly competition on the course · On-line diary to record activities · Full, unlimited use of all practise facilities at the venue
